Version 0.19.3-PB

We are aware that the seasonal campaign requires too much effort to achieve the final tier. To help address this, we are introducing the following incremental changes:

  • Tickets obtained via the seasonal world boss has been increased to 25 (from 10).
  • World Boss spawn time has been increased from 2.5 hours to 3.5 hours.
  • We've significantly increased the chances of obtaining a Moon Gem from battling Noctarok.
  • Cost for the seasonal guild raid has been reduced to 1 mark.
  • The seasonal guild raid length has been reduced from 38 minutes to 20 minutes.
  • Tickets obtained from the guild raid has been increased from 10 tickets to 25 tickets.

These are just incremental changes to avoid accidentally making things too easy. We'll keep watching how it goes and make further changes if needed.

  • Added Lunar Mastery to the leaderboards.
  • Fixed page freezing issues on the campaign page.
  • Fixed the idle action being hidden on other characters profiles.
  • Improved search accuracy when typing the exact name of a character.
  • You may have noticed the game sometimes updates without any corresponding patch nodes due do improving the games stability. These updates dont directly impact gameplay or player experience. We want to make you aware that the frequency of these updates may increase over the next few days. While we don't expect too many disruptions, please report any new issues in the Discord server.

Pet Changes

  • Updated critical damage and critical chance for all pets. We noticed a few problems with these stats.
  • There was very little difference between pet qualities, and when there was, it was inconsistent. For instance, standard pets had the same critical chance as premium pets, which are two tiers higher. Additionally, epic pets had less critical damage growth than premium pets.
  • The critical chance value was too high, and with a hard limit of 100%, this stopped us from adding critical chance to other areas of the game without risking redundancy or making it too powerful. As a result, we have lowered the critical chance value for all pets. To mitigate some of these changes, we slightly increased the critical damage growth value for stronger pet variants, ensuring their critical damage will increase more per level.
  • We’ve updated existing campaign pets to “Epic”. Their stats remain unchanged (except for the adjustments mentioned above). Previously, their stats were similar to the "Epic" tier, but their exclusivity made them "Legendary". To avoid future confusion and maintain consistency, we are now designating these pets as “Epic”. It didn't make sense to classify them as Legendary when the game’s logic dictates that the quality of an entity (pet, item, etc) should reflect how powerful it is.

Recipe Changes

We have increased all Mythic alchemy recipes to have 10 maximum uses instead of just 1. This only applies to recipes used after the update. Any recipes consumed before the update will remain as 1.

We’ve made several back-end improvements to the game that will help improve performance.


Version 0.19.0-PB

Trading

Characters can now directly trade with each other. Just simply navigate to the character you wish to trade with, press “Trades” and then “New Trade”.

There are a few things you should be aware of:

  • Trades are final and cannot be reversed.
  • Pending trades that have not been updated are deleted after 5 days.
  • For the sake of convenience, items obtained via a trade may exceed the inventory limit. However, you will not be able to obtain any more items or perform any further actions until you have freed up space in your inventory.
  • Incoming trades can be disabled in the character settings page.
  • If a character has 10 pending trades, they will be unable to start or receive any new trades until they have completed or cancelled some of their pending trades.
  • The maximum number of unique items (not the quantity) that can be added to a trade is 10.
  • If the trade changes after a party has accepted, the accepting party will need to re-accept the trade. They will be notified of the changes.
  • A red outline is shown on any items that cannot be fulfilled (for example, the item is no longer in the inventory).
  • Trading between alternative characters on the same account is allowed. Take note that this only applies to characters on the same account. It is strictly forbidden to have multiple accounts.
  • Like the market, alternative characters require a minimum total level of 150 to trade.
  • The IdleMMO administration team do not reimburse scams or trades gone wrong. While the administration will punish any offenders, it is up to the players to ensure they are trading with trusted players.
  • There is a fee on the total value of the trade offer. The fee is 13%/10% depending on the subscription status. The fee is only calculated on the items and gold that you add to the offer. You do not pay a fee on the items and gold you receive.
  • There is also a base fee of 10 gold per transaction. The base fee is only applied when a character adds to the trade.
  • Recipients who do not add anything to the trade do not pay a fee.
  • A wiki page has been created that will help clarify how the trade mechanic works along with examples on how the fee is calculated.

Teleportation Cost Changes

We are aware that the travel costs were becoming really large for characters above level 80. It was almost punishing to level up. That is why we have made changes to the cost calculation that will significantly reduce the cost for teleporting between locations. Please note that this change will only have noticeable effects on the higher level characters, however level characters may notice only negligible differences.

Example:

  • Total Level 100 (185 Gold -> 185 Gold)
  • Total Level 500 (1,415 Gold -> 906 Gold)
  • Total Level 1,000 (6,680 Gold - > 2,876 Gold)

We feel the scaling is more appropriate and less punishing for higher level characters. We will continue to monitor this and make adjustments in the future if needed.

Other Changes

  • Market listings from banned characters will be periodically removed from the market automatically.
  • Added a health bar to the battle page on mobile.
  • Added the characters currency amount on the purchase dialogue boxes.
  • Many minor UI changes across the app (we’ve made too many small ones to list individually)
  • Increased the width of the wiki when using a desktop or larger screen. This should make it much easier to read the tables.
  • Reduced the cost to rename a pet from 50,000 to 25,000 gold.
  • Leaderboard and World Boss wiki changes. (Contribution from @Jeremyflc on Github)
  • Exclusive vendor items are listed at the top of the page rather than being hidden at the bottom.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed push notifications for core skills (Woodcutting, mining, forge, etc). We noticed push notifications were not being sent in most occasions if the user was still playing the game after the action had started. This should now be fixed.
  • Fixed the shrine dialogue resetting the input to “1” when trying to clear the input box.
  • Fixed stuck pet battle button when an error occurs.
  • Fixed spacing on the “Available uses” box when selecting a forge or alchemy item.
  • Fixed spacing on the guild member action buttons.
  • Updated the in-game notification that a character receives when purchasing tokens notifying them that the tokens are in their inventory.
  • On the item inspection page, the action buttons have been moved to the top of the page. This is inline with the rest of the game.
  • Fixed error messaging when filtering through the guilds.
  • Added missing commas where needed. (1000 -> 1,000)
  • Fixed bartering EXP toast notification displaying the incorrect value when selling an item to the vendor.
  • Fixed viewing another characters pet inventory showing the incorrect characters pet mastery level.
  • Fixed window issues when opening a character via the friends list on the app.
  • Pressing on a profile badge now displays the tooltip above the badge rather than below.
  • Fixed an error when attempting to sell an item to the vendor when the item no longer exists in the inventory.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the announcement dialogue to be displayed twice.
  • Reduced the size of the pet image on the characters profile page.
  • Fixed bug that caused a guilds page to be inaccessible if a character is kicked from a guild during a raid.
  • Added a notification loading element.
  • Characters can no longer equip pets when they are performing an action that may be related to pets (battling and dungeons)
  • Fixed the pet help box being incorrectly displayed when previewing another characters pet inventory.
  • Fixed recipes with an infinite maximum use amount being incorrectly displayed at “1”.
  • Fixed some helmets requiring strength instead of defence.

Version 0.18.4-PB

  • The Dragon Soulstone has been replaced with an untradable Potion of the Gods for the final daily reward which distributes +100% EXP (The strongest battle potion). The Dragon Soulstone was too easily acquirable for its worth due to the large swathes of new users we've recently encountered. We will adjust the drop rate of the Dragon Soulstone in the near future once we observe the effects of this change.
  • Updated the Code of Conduct to clarify that accounts cannot be shared.

Shrine Blessing

  • Everyone who contributes more than 100 gold to the shrine will receive the Blessing of Xethia which gives an additional 5% EXP to all core skills for one hour. This resets every day when the shrine resets.

  • Push notifications are now sent if the "Completed Action" push notification is enabled via the settings.
  • Fixed push notifications being sent multiple times if the shrine is activated in one go.
  • Fixed link when attempting to reset the password via the app.
  • Market listings that are listed substantially higher than the average amount will automatically be removed over time.
  • Fixed Terms of Service not being clickable on the registration page.
  • Opening a Chest of Upgrade Stones will now always distribute an item even if the inventory is full.

  • Fixed the "50% off" badge being incorrectly shown on Apple devices.

Version 0.18.1-PB

We are happy to announce significant speed improvements in IdleMMO. We are aware this is something you have all been waiting for due to the high number of new users in the past few weeks. By implementing high-performance concurrent processing, we have drastically reduced the latency per request from an average of 147ms to just 18ms. Our servers CPU usage has also dropped from 60% to 19%. This improvement will enable IdleMMO to scale seamlessly as our user base grows.

While this update is currently experimental, we are optimistic about its stability. Our team will closely monitor server performance over the next 7 days to ensure everything runs smoothly. We'll likely create a technical blog on how we achieved this at a later date.
