Version v0.27.1-PB - Scaling and Guild Season Changes

  • Increased the maximum magic find value from 25% to 35% when scaling an enemy. As the range is larger, this will affect all enemies.
  • Increased seasonal guild rewards from top 10 to top 25 with a slight boost in rewards for positions #10 to #4. A full breakdown can be seen in the wiki.
  • Fixed a bug where enemy EXP was displayed without character effects applied when scaling the enemy. This did not affect the end experience points gained and was only a "visual bug".
  • Fixed guild season page overlaying the notifications dropdown.

In Progress/In Pre-Development (For Guilds)

  • More ways to obtain guild experience points.
  • Changes to the raiding system including the removal of a cooldown timer.
  • Adding utility to guild mastery.

Version 0.27.0-PB - Enemy Scaling

Yes, two updates in one day! However, this one is in the testing phase.

Enemy Scaling (TESTING PHASE)

IMPORTANT: This feature is currently experimental and available only to characters with membership status and above Combat Level 80 for a limited time during testing due to the influence it has on the market.

Scaling enemies offers these benefits:

  • Improved loot - loot increases based on how much the enemy is scaled. This boost is applied through a Magic Find bonus to the character’s battle session.
  • More EXP - experience points are scaled to the character’s level rather than the enemy’s base level.

The difference between the enemy's original level and the character's level determines the loot boost amount - the greater the level gap, the larger the loot increase. Currently, the bonus magic find scales from +0% to +25%, depending on this distance. For example, a Level 100 character scaling a Level 1 enemy receives the full 25% magic find boost.

This scaling approach is designed to avoid major imbalances in loot frequency. For instance, if a Level 100 character scales a Level 99 enemy (increasing its level by just one), it would be unbalanced to grant the full 25% magic find boost, as loot drop rates were explicitly set to match each enemy’s quality and scarcity.

This feature will roll out over the next hour and will be exclusively available to members for a brief two-week period. During this time, we'll monitor its impact and make any necessary adjustments - or decide whether to continue with the feature at all.

You can read more about Magic Find and how it works (with examples) by going to our Wiki and pressing on "Effects".

Version 0.26.0-PB - Guild Seasons

Guild Seasons

Guilds can compete in seasons to earn a prestigious, permanent status for the respective season. Each season for 60 days, and a guild's placement is determined solely by the experience they gather during that time. At the end of each season, the top 10 guilds will earn rewards based on their final ranking. The rewards range from 100 marks to 5 marks depending on the position of the guild. A breakdown of the rewards can be seen in the wiki.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed missing texts on some pages.
  • Fixed bug that allowed pets to be unequipped while hunting.
  • Fixed EXP chart bug that duplicated a day.
  • Fixed bug that caused actions to continue beyond the campaigns end time.

Version 0.25.3-PB - Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an incorrect display of "hits to defeat enemy" in battle stats. This issue was purely visual and didn’t affect actual battle outcomes.
  • Resolved an issue where "time per enemy" would show slight variations if there was server lag when starting a battle. This was also a visual error and had no impact on battle results.
  • Added days to the egg incubation period to better balance progression.
  • Slightly lowered the stats for Rabbit enemies to make them easier for new players to defeat.
  • Fixed an issue with the speed information tooltip, which previously appeared blank.
  • Restricted food usage from the inventory during battles, as it has no effect on ongoing battles.
  • Fixed a bug with character switching via keys, which would sometimes return players to the wrong page.
  • Corrected text errors in the trade cancellation dialog box.

Version 0.25.2-PB - Bug Fixes

  • We’ve fixed a bug where activity tracking didn’t properly account for actions finishing just after a new day began. Previously, if you completed a 20-minute action at 12:01 a.m., it would mistakenly log all 20 minutes for the new day, even though only 1 minute had passed. Now, it correctly tracks 1 minute for the new day and attributes the remaining 19 minutes to the previous day. This should also resolve the exhaustion issues some players have been experiencing.
  • Fixed agility and accuracy description text.
  • Fixed an issue with the character switcher on the Web App that directed the user to the wrong character's profile.
  • Fixed a bug preventing cooked cods from being sold on the market.
  • Adjusted the growth value of "Aegis of the Seraph" from 2 to the correct value of 1.
  • Fixed an issue with the "Boulder Breaker" and "Earthshaker" pickaxes being in the incorrect dungeon.
  • Fixed a bug where market tasks were incorrectly generated for characters without market access.
  • Fixed an issue preventing tasks from being generated for the seasonal campaign skill (e.g., Shadow Mastery).
  • Fixed a bug that assigned tasks to defeat enemies above the character's level.
  • We’ve updated the "Invalid Signature" message to guide users to restart the app when this issue occurs.
  • Fixed typos.
  • Minor adjustments in the battle wiki page.
  • Updated the public road map which can be seen here: https://trello.com/b/CxIn7i5B/idlemmo-public-roadmap

Version 0.25.1-PB

  • Added the following character metrics (Please note that tracking will only start post-update):
    • Guild raid participations
    • World bosses defeated
    • Total teleportations
    • Total gold spent on teleports
    • Total experience
    • Gold spent in dungeons
    • Food consumed during battles
    • Items contributed to guild challenges
  • Added UI countdown timers to pets when they are battling.

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue where the timing for guild raids wasn’t being tracked properly.
  • We fixed an issue where, for some users, new campaigns weren’t activating automatically when released.

Version 0.25.0-PB

Character Metrics

  • You can now view metrics for your own character and others, with the option to compare them side-by-side. Just visit a character’s profile page and click "Metrics" to access details like total playtime, enemies defeated, and more.

Please note that some of these values were not tracked from the game's launch, so there may be discrepancies if you've been playing since release. Additionally, certain metrics, such as pet battles, have not been tracked until this update.

Weekly Experience Chart

  • We've replaced the level chart with a weekly experience chart, showing the total EXP gained over the past week for a clearer view of your progress. The previous level chart didn’t offer much value, especially at higher levels. Now, you can also compare your experience gains with others directly on the chart.

Bug Fixes

  • You can no longer equip or unequip pets when battling, hunting or in a dungeon.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some users to encounter an error when finalising a guild raid with a full inventory.

Version 0.24.0-PB

Alt Character Limit Changes

  • Classes that cannot access the market or trade are no longer subject to the idle limit of three characters. The three character restriction now only applies to characters with market access. For examples and further explanations, please refer to the "Classes" section of the wiki.

Battle Changes

  • Decreased the limit of 10 seconds per enemy to 8 seconds per enemy.
  • Decreased the rate of hits per second from 1.3 to 0.9.

These changes will improve the sense of progression at lower levels by making initial battles feel slower, allowing players to notice a tangible improvement as their stats increase and battles become quicker. By decreasing the battle duration cap, we've expanded the window where progression is felt.

Additionally, these changes indirectly boosts loot drops and experience gain per second, as enemies can now be defeated up to 20% faster (assuming that the character is strong enough to reach the cap).

Other Changes

  • Characters of banned accounts are now deleted after 60 days instead of 6 months.
  • Performance improvements.
