Patch Notes

Version 0.41.2-PB - Alchemy Changes

You may have noticed that we've made several changes to Alchemy throughout the day.

  • We've made changes to the potion crafting requirements (most have been reduced, though a few were increased) to better match the quality and tier of other similar potions.
  • We've made changes to the effects provided by essence crystals and potions. Most of them have received significant buffs.
  • We’ve also updated the vendor prices for both potions and essence crystals.
  • We've introduced new empty crystal tiers, which can now be bought from the vendor. These changes should make it easier for new players to get started with Alchemy as the lowest empty crystal tier only costs 5 gold.
  • We’ve also made significant adjustments to alchemy crafting times. Potions and Essence Crystals now take considerably longer to make. Because of that, the experience (EXP) you gain from crafting has also been completely reworked. The old EXP values were incredibly messy and inconsistent, so this is a full reset.

The changes to the crafting times are pretty radical. Because we've made a lot of these changes in a single day, we're being a little cautious with the EXP costs until the dust settles. When that happens, we can made an informed decision on improving the EXP rates and adjusting the times per item (if needed). Think of it like wiping the slate clean so we can create a more balanced system moving forward.

To put it simply: this is not the end of the alchemy changes. More adjustments will be made soon. In particular, the EXP obtained from Alchemy. We're just waiting for the dust to settle before moving forward.

Version 0.41.1-PB - Balancing

Over the next few days, we’ll be making several adjustments to alchemy recipes - specifically, changing the requirements for certain recipes to better align with items of similar value. Due to the scale of these changes, it’s far more efficient for us to roll them out gradually. Preparing the game to handle a large, all-at-once update would require significantly more development time.

What you can expect:

  • We’re rebalancing the requirements for certain alchemy recipes- specifically those that currently demand an unusually high amount of time or resources. For instance, crafting a "Vortex Brew" takes roughly 3 to 4 times more effort than other potions of similar value. We plan to reduce the requirements for these recipes. Most of the affected recipes will become cheaper to craft. However, a few outliers may see a slight increase in cost to bring them in line with others in their tier. Our goal is to make the time and resource investment feel fair and consistent across all recipes in the same category. That said, the majority of alchemy recipes will remain unchanged.
  • Buffed vendor costs for both tradable and untradable recipes.
  • Buffs to both potions and essence crystals. These items will become stronger to better reflect their rarity, importance, and how much investment is needed to obtain.

Update 13/May/25: We failed to mention that these balancing changes will also include adjustments to the EXP obtained via alchemy items.

Version 0.41.0-PB - Dungeon Alchemy Loot Buffs

We’ve made major changes to how alchemy recipe drops work in dungeons.

Instead of receiving a recipe directly from a dungeon run, you’ll now receive a Alchemy Chest tied to that specific dungeon. These chests contain a variety of recipes - some tradable, some untradable. Untradable recipes drop more frequently, but tradable recipes will appear at a higher rate than they did prior to the update.

This change results in a significant buff to recipe drop rates across nearly all high-level dungeons.

For example:

  • Zenith’s Sanctum alchemy recipe drop chance has increased from 0.40% → 3.5%. That’s a 775% boost.
  • Mirage Citadel has jumped from 0.1% → 1.5%, a 1,400% increase.

Although these changes may seem significant, much of the increase comes from untradable recipes. That said, the boost affects both tradable and untradable drops - meaning tradable recipes will still be noticeably easier to obtain than before the update.

This update is part of a larger effort to make Alchemy more accessible, as outlined in our roadmap. More balancing changes and improvements will come soon.

Please note: These changes may take up to 12 hours to fully take effect.

Update: Just to clarify - only the recipe itself is untradable. The items you craft from it can still be traded as usual.

  • Typo fixes.

Version 0.40.1-PB - Effect Clarification

We’re currently updating/fixing the underlying effect system, a change that’s been long overdue. This is also part of our preparation for the upcoming season-long rewards that players can earn by winning a Conquest Zone (we will make a separate patch note when this change is ready).

The old effect system was overly complicated and didn’t work as expected. For example, the “Skill” bonus was only meant to apply to primary skills (the ones shown in the sidebar/skills menu). However, it also unintentionally affected some (not all) secondary skills like Bartering. This caused confusion, as players expected the Skill EXP bonus to apply to all skills, which it did not.

Over the next 48 hours, as the update spreads across the server, you might notice some small changes to how effects work. Most importantly, we’re updating the naming system to be more clear and consistent. This change will also fix several bugs related to skill classification. For instance, some non-primary skills that were incorrectly affected by the “Skill” effect will now be excluded, as only Primary Skills will be eligible for these effects.

Once the changes are fully live and stable, we’ll review everything again and make any additional changes if needed.

Version 0.40.0-PB - Balancing Adjustments

Guild Components

  • After reviewing several weeks of guild hall data, we're now confident in making significant reductions to the component costs.
  • All guild components, slot upgrades, and the foundation cost have been reduced by around 50%.
  • We hope this change brings greater stability going forward, so no major adjustments to the requirements are planned in the near future. UPDATE: There was a problem during the migration and a few lower-level components were refunded more than needed. Instead of rolling back the changes, it's on us. Enjoy the additional refund.

Guild Assaults

  • Reduced assault waves to 3 hours.
  • Reduced wave cost to 4 marks.
  • This is an overall reduction as a 6 hour assault (across 2 waves instead of 1) costs 8 marks instead of 10 marks.
  • Battles taking place during an assault can no longer exceed the remaining duration of the assault. For example, if a battle begins 10 minutes before the assault ends, the battle can only last for a maximum of 10 minutes.
  • Due to the above change, a checkbox has been added allowing you to opt out of guild assaults if they interfere with your battle durations.

Power Hunting

  • The power hunting cooldown now begins when the power hunt ends, instead of when the entire hunt finishes. This means you can now use power hunting multiple times within a single hunt session.

Alchemy Recipe Changes

The maximum usage limit for mythic alchemy recipes has been increased from 10 to 30. This only applies to recipes consumed after this update; previously consumed recipes will remain unchanged in your alchemy list.

More Changes

  • Fixed bug when trying to navigate to a character profile when receiving a guidance scroll.
  • Added market link to the profile page.
  • Fixed typos.

Version 0.39.1-PB - Guild Hall Component Reduction

  • Fixed sorting issues on the guild conquest page.
  • Fixed a bug that caused an error when trying to inspect select guilds on the conquest page.
  • Fixed conquest leaderboard on narrow devices.
  • Added visual indicator for banished guilds.
  • The conquest leaderboards now shows the top 50 players, instead of the top 40.
  • Hidden "Banish Guild" button on the settings page when the guild is already banished.
  • Increased repair time for components from 60 days to 80 days.

Guild Hall Component Mark Changes

  • Reduced "Foundation" from 25 marks to 10marks.
  • Reduced "Paid Slot" from 20 marks to 10 marks.
  • Reduced "Unity Seal" from 15 marks to 10 marks.
  • Reduced "Mission Table" from 20 marks to 10 marks.
  • Reduced "Raid Planner" from 20 marks to 10 marks.
  • Reduced "Conquest Banner" from 35 marks to 10 marks.
  • Reduced "Teleportation Beacon" from 20 marks to 10 marks.
  • Reduced "Energizing Pool" from 30 marks to 15 marks.

All guilds with the above components have been refunded the difference.

Repair Cost Clarification

Guilds are still a work in progress and not yet where we want them to be. Improving them will take time, as we make small changes and adjustments based on the data we gather and as our overall approach becomes more refined. We're also balancing this with ongoing improvements to other parts of the game (for instance, we are now working on improving the dungeon mechanic which can be seen on our public road map).

In update v0.38.2, we said that if guild requirements change, any difference would be refunded. However, this does not include repair costs - which are determined by the base costs. The main reason is that we don’t keep detailed records of every repair, and it would take too much time to calculate fair refunds for each case.

Version 0.39.0-PB - Conquest Tracker and Game Improvements

Conquest Tracker

  • Assaults and conquests now track all member contributions.
  • Member contributions can be seen on the "Conquest" page.
  • Added a leaderboard for each zone that displays the top characters across all participating guilds.
  • Contributions are only tracked from this point onwards.

More

  • You can now see active assaults on the Conquest page.
  • Reduced the "Contested" threshold from 25% to 10%. This is a visual indicator only to show that the top guilds are close. It does not affect the winner.
  • Fixed hunting efficiency bug on the community goal.
  • The game now tracks distance travelled using the map. This metric is visible on your profile.
  • Starting the Meditation skill now automatically processes the current action, aligning it with how other actions work.
  • Added a refresh button to the Meditation skill.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented a pet battle notification from being sent when the pet returned with no loot.
  • Increased token conversion ratio at the shrine from 150 gold to 200 gold per token.
  • Updated Pets page (GitHub wiki contribution by @Rahuken).
  • Improved Campaign + Skills wiki page (GitHub wiki contribution by @shurablack).
  • Improved "Leaderboards" wiki page (GitHub contribution by @adartes-dev).
  • You can no longer withdraw items from the bank while travelling.
  • Added the number of power hunted enemies to notifications.
  • Added a new metric to track stockpile contributions.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the "Feed All" button to affect pets currently in battle.
  • Fixed a bug that sometimes caused unhatched eggs to be marked as "Hungry".
  • General performance improvements across the game.
  • Fixed a persistent bug that caused the page to snap to the top when opening inner pop-ups, especially noticeable in the market.
  • Improved the Leaderboards UI to make your character's position more visible.
